Death Penalty
The Death penalty is important. Consider housing a convicted felon whom would be eligible for the death penalty if we were to have it, is counter intuitive; cost, rehabilitation, morale, and the safety of our correction employees.
I am not suggesting we arbitrarily put someone to death. However, the Bloodsworth* case of incorrect identification diminishes as technology keeps advancing.
If someone commits a heinous act and is convicted and all appeals conclude the same, death should be imminent.
