Civil Unions

Marriage- for the most part is a union of two different genders before God. However, we have in this state a legal, permitted union by the state, via the “courthouse marriage”.

I would propose if two individuals want the same level of commitment and benefit of a union then call it a civil union and leave marriage to the church.

I do not endorse this type of union, however I am open-minded to the fact that others either choose or are chosen to lead alternative lifestyles.

We should embrace this concept and honor the fact that two people who care enough about each other should be able to join together in a permanent relationship and not be denied the benefits of traditionally married couples.
